Major Mission
Senior Exhibition (Art 499) summarizes the University art experience through active planning and execution of professionally oriented activities such as a group exhibition and professional portfolios. In addition to creating their displayed body of work, students curate the show through participation in several student-run committees:Publicity & Public Relations, Photography, Exhibition Logos & Invitations, Poster Design, Exhibition & Opening Night, and Website Development. As part of their presentation and portfolio, each student also establishes a professional identity by developing their own Cover Letters, Resumes, Business Cards, Artist Statements, and Design Philosophies.
Jinchul Kim
Instructor
"Professor Kim melds his efforts as an artist, teacher, mentor and director into organizing and instructing Salisbury University’s spring semester of graduating BFA and BA seniors. Since this is the largest group of graduating art major seniors, Professor Kim had the honor of coordinating three exhibitions in order to facilitate the forty-seven seniors. With his experience as a practicing artist he ensures quality and professionalism in his student’s work and presentation. Through his guidance, organization and direction, the students were able to design and construct the three senior exhibitions. Without the insight and experience of Professor Kim the Salisbury University’s 52nd Bi-Annual senior art show would not be possible."
