Artist Statement

Enthralled by the spectrum of beauty throughout art, my goal is to bring aesthetic pleasure into the world, one work at a time. With a particular focus on illustration, I aim to assist in the cultivation of visual figures that carry profound meaning, personal or otherwise. While my illustrations are not solely restricted to such aspects, I tend to gravitate to art that bears a story. Such art has the power to trigger initiative and fuel emotions, to communicate profound and complicated concepts through a versatile language. These are all qualities people should have, whether for a major corporation, a close friend, or oneself.

My work is well rounded, as illustration can be applied to nearly anything. I have worked on logo design, poster art, painting, drawing, sculpture, character design, storyboarding, book art, and new media. I love to invest powerful messages in my works, to enrapture others with evocative imagery. No matter the medium, I always try to instill a deeper meaning, some message or theme my art represents, anything that tells a story. My own nightmares have become a source of inspiration for allegory and humanity’s relationship with the universe.

With the experience I have gathered, I have developed and refined my own artistic style, and it is still evolving. I’ve worked with a variety of materials with numerous sources, met other artists and studied their works, and created works for great clients that will be published. My own aesthetic philosophy, however, has remained the same; to create meaningful works that carry the whisper of stories and emotion for viewers.

I intend to apply my skills to build beauty, seek truth, and share pleasure. My dreams and nightmares have become a source of inspiration, a way to conspire with the raw emotion of the subconscious in order to convey deeper concepts. Having an aesthetic passion is vital to living in color. Art is visual poetry, and poetry makes life worth living.
